Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Technician to support facility safety, welcomingness, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Understand assigned properties and review building operations, maintenance schedules, and equipment status.
- Update and manage work orders in the maintenance system; work with Facilities staff to resolve delays.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and maintain logs/inspection reports for life-safety equipment.
- Perform routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Troubleshoot heating, cooling, and refrigeration issues; coordinate vendor repairs when needed.
- Inspect buildings to ensure proper heating, lighting, ventilation, cleanliness, and overall condition.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with one (1) year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Three (3) years of experience preferred.
- Safe crawling, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs.
- Knowledge and safe performance practices in the use of relevant equipment and tools.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, organizational, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word) is preferred.

Awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential.
