Maintenance Technician

About the role

Position Summary: The maintenance technician is responsible for a wide range of duties including general labor, electrical helper and machine repair/installation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain normal operating parameters with onsite boilers. Includes chemical replacement, blow downs and cleanout of the firebox.
• More extensive work involves cleaning of the tubes and floor.
• Perform daily visual inspection of the smoke.
• Inspect the dust collection system daily with a more thorough inspection performed weekly.
• Check for proper operation of all components located on the ground and on the bag house/silo.
• Replace belts as needed and complete general cleanup in this process.
• Monitor steam lines, traps, condensate return pumps and hold tanks throughout the plant for normal operation.
• Equipment installation.
• May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
