Maintenance Technician

About the Role

Performs electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, plumbing, and instrumentation and controls maintenance work to maintain facility equipment, utilities, building, and related structures.

Responsibilities

• Completes projects with minimal guidance while minimizing equipment down time and costs
• Implements, maintains, and manages a facility maintenance management system including preventive maintenance, work orders, work logs, and spare parts inventory
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment and building
• Manages facility fabrication shop
• Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment
• Operates lifts
• Researches and orders supplies, parts, and tools as needed to complete work orders
• Manages building alarm system
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Follows compliance of facility safety, health, and environmental regulations, rules, and codes

Skills

• Able to perform installation and repairs of industrial electrical circuits
• Competent in interpreting and using schematics, diagrams, blueprints, technical handouts, and drawings to perform installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
• Strong basic carpentry and plumbing skills
• Able to identify and use the six simple classical machines
• Works well in a team environment and independently
