About the role
Envolve Client Services Group owns and professionally manages apartment communities throughout the southeastern United States. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for Hanover Manor, a multiple-site property located in Columbia, MO. This role is responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of all apartment equipment, including appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing, while maintaining and improving the operating condition and appearance of all building systems.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs, troubleshoots systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
- Conducts basic on-site repairs, including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, electrical systems, plumbing, and other special equipment.
- Available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled.
- Assists in training Groundskeepers and entry-level Maintenance Technicians.
- Troubleshoots all property systems and performs or oversees repairs.
- Conducts maintenance-related inspections, including building and alarm systems.
- Assists in preparing the property for regulatory agency inspections.
- Performs Preventive Maintenance, including winterizing facilities, inspecting HVAC systems, maintaining swimming pools, and ensuring vacant units are properly managed.
- Inspects and prepares vacant units for turnover, including painting as needed.
- Inspects subcontracted service providers and documents work quality.
- Walks grounds and common areas daily to remove litter and debris.
- Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, steps, and driveways.
- Completes all required training and repairs as directed.
- Performs administrative duties, including recording maintenance requests, maintaining inventory, and following proper procedures.
- Moves heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
- Ensures property compliance with Affordable Housing programs (e.g., HUD Subsidy, USDA, RD, LIHTC, HOME).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- College degree preferred.
- HVAC and/or EPA certification preferred.
- Previous multifamily experience preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.
- Must have own tools.
Pay
$20.00–$22.00 per hour.
