Maintenance Technician

Eliada is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our campus safe, functional, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to identify and correct building and equipment problems, prevent property degradation, and avoid service disruptions.
• Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, install, and maintain building structures and equipment (e.g., roofs, floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, generators, HVAC units, compressors).
• Replace or update inoperable or outdated building materials and appliances (e.g., motors, belts, pumps, window glass, sinks, doors, smoke alarms, cabinets, shelves, tile, light fixtures, filter systems, patios).
• Inspect facilities, equipment, systems (electrical, plumbing, power sources), and vendor work to assess condition, safety, and maintenance needs.
• Maintain grounds by mowing lawns, landscaping, and keeping gutters clean.
• Service and maintain all campus equipment.
• Participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process to ensure high-quality client services.
• Demonstrate cultural competence and responsiveness to diverse customer and employee populations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of all levels of building maintenance.
• Three years of experience in maintenance is highly preferred.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and insurability by Eliada’s insurance carriers.
• Ability to sit, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
