Element Resources is a leading Battery Recycling facility in Muncie, Indiana, with over 30 years of service to the community. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility’s critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, flue pipes, water lines, burner systems, air compressors, and hydraulic systems.
• Install, maintain, and repair all piping in the facility.
• Install, maintain, and repair valves, hoses, fittings, bearings, gauges, and meters in the facility.
• Weld and repair industrial equipment.
• Layout and fabricate from blueprint or sketch.
• Communicate with employees and supervisors from all departments to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Repair and upkeep of buildings and building systems as required.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting including motor control circuits and changing out motors.
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Work independently or with a team.

Requirements

• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems; L2L, MP2, Maximo, etc.) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate a manlift and forklift.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces and climb fixed/portable ladders.
• Must be able to operate cranes and be able to obtain operating certificate for mobile cranes.
• NFPA 70E certification a plus (if you do not currently hold a certificate, you will be trained).
• AWS D1.1 certification a plus.
• Basic First Aid and CPR.
• Rigging and lifting.
• Able to work with Microsoft Office products.
