Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support safe, efficient operations and minimize downtime. This role also coordinates maintenance services, manages supplies, and promotes workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in accordance with company policies.
- Coordinate and schedule outside contractors and service providers for building and equipment repairs.
- Order maintenance and shop supplies as needed to support operations.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Serve as an active participant in safety initiatives and promote safe work practices throughout the facility.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a precision machine shop environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
- Valve manufacturing or valve maintenance experience is a plus.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
- Ability to diagnose issues, solve problems, and manage priorities in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient computer, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining a strong safety focus.
- Knowledge of shop floor operations; valve industry experience is a plus.
Physical Demands
Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron, and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
Pay
DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the $24.74 to $30.93 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
