Maintenance Technician
Responsible for keeping all machines and their components performing to the specifications set forth by their manufacturers. Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments. Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and produce metallic and nonmetallic parts. Assists with Safety, Environmental, and 6S programs.
- Maintain all machinery, equipment and plant facilities.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and auxiliary equipment to comply with ISO 9002.
- Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain physical structure and property of establishment.
- Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides to subsequent machining.
- Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly.
- Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly.
- Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment and test operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.
- Operate welding equipment to cut or weld parts.
- Assist in monitoring all work being done by outside contractors.
- Coordinate special projects as directed by management.
- Ensure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical and consistent manner.
- Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintain professional courtesy with all vendors, contractors, employees, and associates.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications

- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skill to repair machines or systems using the needed tools.

- Maintenance Tech must be physically able to work on and around machinery on a frequent basis, sometimes within limited confines and under stressful conditions.
- Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Stand, walk, bend, twist and stretch, and sit.
- Use one or both hands to finger, handle, or feel; use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
- Climb or balance.
- Lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
