About the role
You will report directly to the Superintendent and maintain the Tannery II Apartments.
Responsibilities
- Repair and replace items in the following areas:
- Carpentry: doors, locks, windows, medicine cabinets, sheetrock, ceramic tile, painting
- Plumbing: faucets, bath vanity, toilets, drains, PVC, copper, garbage disposals
- Heating: thermostats, valves, baseboard, Whalen motors
- Electrical: switches, smoke detectors, lights, outlets, circuit breakers, roof exhaust motors
- Appliances: stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, air conditioners
- Use power tools and drain equipment
- Prepare apartments for new occupancy and sign/date the apartment checklist form for the Superintendent
- Perform snow removal and exterior ground keeping as needed
- Conduct preventative maintenance on gas pumps
- Maintain and clean the pool
- Cut and install shades
- Make and install new screens
- Repair rubber roofs as needed
- Program intercoms with new tenant information or update current tenant phone numbers
- Perform masonry repairs on walkways and buildings
