MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

About the role

Covenant Woods in Hanover County is seeking a Part-time Maintenance Technician to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair services on facility systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all planned and unplanned maintenance throughout the facility.
• Work closely and professionally with residents and other staff members.
• Maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ensure proper levels of confidentiality.
• Use test equipment, powered and hand mechanical tools, HVAC and electrical tools, and drywall repair skills.
• Enjoy working in a retirement community setting with familiar, friendly residents and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with Technical and/or Apprenticeship training.
• Valid Virginia drivers’ license required.
• Must be able to use test equipment, powered and hand mechanical tools, HVAC and electrical tools, and skilled in drywall repair.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Basic computer skills.
• Two years’ experience in construction and remodeling or maintenance preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule

Working 3 days per week: Saturday and Sunday, plus 1 flexible day from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
