Maintenance Technician

About the Role

At Conifer Realty, a Maintenance Technician helps families feel secure, supported, and proud of where they live. The role involves keeping community spaces comfortable, safe, and well‑cared for through routine and preventative maintenance, grounds upkeep, and responsive on‑call service.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.
• Maintain curb appeal through landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal upkeep.
• Complete work orders promptly and rotate for emergency on‑call coverage, responding within 30 minutes.
• Follow all safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.
• Collaborate with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in every repair.

Requirements

• 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC a plus).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly and up to 100 lb occasionally.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for overtime or nearby community coverage.
• Basic computer or mobile‑app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills a plus.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.00 – $28.00. Competitive pay with annual salary reviews.

Schedule

• Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week.
• On‑call rotation with emergency response requirement.
• Potential Saturday work on a rotating basis to support leasing, resident engagement, and rent collection as needed.
