Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will have expert skills in general building maintenance as well as performing both predictive and preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot mechanical problems and provide cost-effective repairs. Provides leadership, guidance and on-the-job training to lower level Maintenance Technicians. This position requires good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Location: Westover in Hamilton, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Works independently with little direction.
• Performs skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical, plumbing, electronic, HVAC and other building mechanics.
• Assist lower level maintenance technicians with work orders when needed.
• Provides leadership and guidance in a positive way.
• Provides on the job training for Maintenance Technicians I and II.
• Perform various plumbing duties such as cut, thread, assemble and lay pipe. Be able to repair and install toilets.
• Estimate cost of labor and materials for work orders.
• Travel between different facilities for projects/work orders.
• Obtains multiple estimates from contractors and provides them to supervisor.
• Perform skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct defective switches, receptacles, ballasts and other wiring.
• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance
• Perform troubleshooting to repair or replace fans, motors and belts.
• Trouble shoot electronics on resident
