What You'll Do
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents with high-quality make-readies
- Respond to service requests promptly and professionally
- Partner closely with your property and maintenance team to keep the community running smoothly
- Maintain the appearance and function of apartments, amenities, grounds, and buildings
- Oversight vendor work to ensure quality and timeliness
- Keep supplies organized, order parts as needed, and track inventory
- Stay compliant with OSHA standards and follow company safety policies
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance
- Aid with the bid process and training of maintenance team members
- Handle lock changes, snow/ice removal, and other on-site needs
- Be available for on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Report unusual or urgent issues to the Property Manager
Requirements
- Apartment maintenance or handyman experience required
- Knowledge of HVAC (certification a plus), plumbing, and electrical
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools safely
- Positive, professional, and resident-focused attitude
- Supervisory or training experience preferred
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
- Must be able to regularly push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs independently
- Willingness to be on-call and work some weekends
- Ability to travel between nearby properties and complete supply pickups
- Valid driver's license and auto-insurance
