Maintenance Technician

What You'll Do

• Prepare apartment homes for new residents with high-quality make-readies
• Respond to service requests promptly and professionally
• Partner closely with your property and maintenance team to keep the community running smoothly
• Maintain the appearance and function of apartments, amenities, grounds, and buildings
• Oversight vendor work to ensure quality and timeliness
• Keep supplies organized, order parts as needed, and track inventory
• Stay compliant with OSHA standards and follow company safety policies
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance
• Aid with the bid process and training of maintenance team members
• Handle lock changes, snow/ice removal, and other on-site needs
• Be available for on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies
• Report unusual or urgent issues to the Property Manager

Requirements

• Apartment maintenance or handyman experience required
• Knowledge of HVAC (certification a plus), plumbing, and electrical
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable using power tools and hand tools safely
• Positive, professional, and resident-focused attitude
• Supervisory or training experience preferred
• Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
• Must be able to regularly push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs independently
• Willingness to be on-call and work some weekends
• Ability to travel between nearby properties and complete supply pickups
• Valid driver's license and auto-insurance
