Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician role supports the safe and efficient operation of commercial facilities through routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance. This position involves responding to and completing work orders, troubleshooting facility issues, conducting inspections, and maintaining building systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of building systems.
- Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair common facility issues such as leaks, lighting failures, minor electrical issues, and HVAC-related concerns.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general building maintenance including painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, and door or hardware adjustments.
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and service activity in work order or mobile systems.
- Cook with supervisors, vendors, and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Participate in after-hours or emergency maintenance as part of an on-call rotation.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a hands-on role.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, manuals, and basic technical documentation.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a related field preferred.

Pay
Your pay: Starting pay is dependent on experience. Profit sharing program for all employees. Annual pay review.
Schedule
Work 8-10 hours per day and overtime when necessary. On call availability. Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors. Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. Work efficiently in confined spaces. Reach above shoulders, crawl, squat, kneel, bend.
