Maintenance Technician

About the role

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in our Bowling Green, Kentucky facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in stamping, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and adjust robotic equipment.
• Evaluate the performance of all presses regarding electrical integration with feeders and other components.
• Service, repair, and maintain all equipment, including preventative maintenance on equipment and electrical cabinets (filters, greasing, oiling, etc.).
• Apply Continuous Improvement concepts and processes.
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and analyze incidents during production runs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and their operation and repair.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints.
• Knowledge of PLCs and their function (Allen Bradley, PLC5, or Se preferred).
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and mezzanines, and operate a man lift.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive manufacturing experience.
• Strong electrical and electronic skills, including 3-phase power.
• Experience with Fanuc and ABB robots preferred.
• Ability to prioritize work and maintain a sense of urgency.
