About the role

Performs a wide variety of advanced maintenance work to design and maintain equipment, building, and grounds in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures. Work requires a general knowledge of various trades and systems, including mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, plumbing, etc. Applies advanced electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Leads small to medium (<$100K) Capital Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing equipment and performs routine preventative maintenance functions as scheduled or directed.
  • Hydraulic: Troubleshoot and repair fluid power systems and associated components.
  • Pneumatic: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair distribution and point-of-use systems.
  • Electrical: Troubleshoot and repair motors, contactors, relays, circuit faults, lighting, solenoids, coils, switches, and sensors.
  • Electronic: Troubleshoot automated machinery and equipment such as PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
  • Mechanical: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair gears, cams, rollers, belts, chains, bearings, seals, levers, and power transmission equipment.
  • Drafting: Create, modify, and reverse engineer existing AutoCAD drawings/schematics or parts.
  • Process Controls: Design, install, program, troubleshoot, and repair process control systems including but not limited to PLCs, HMIs, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
  • HVAC: Troubleshoot and repair actuators, fans, blowers, louvers, dampers, and filters.
  • Plumbing: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair all fluid piping systems.
  • Carpentry: Build, install, and repair wood or steel framing, walls, floors, ceilings, crates, and partitions.
  • Leads capital project execution (identification, development, and implementation).
  • Performs necessary duties to maintain an accurate mechanical spares inventory system.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press, welder, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
  • Metalwork: Design and fabricate metalwork to repair or improve existing applications.
  • Completes and maintains all company-required performance and maintenance paperwork, records, and documents.
  • Answers work-related calls outside of work on a company-provided cell phone within a reasonable timeframe.
  • At times, is on-call to handle over-the-phone or in-person service calls within a limited timeframe.
  • Operates aerial work platforms and material handling equipment safely and drives a personal vehicle for work as needed.
  • Travels to CQC facilities, training, and/or parts stores.
  • Performs all tasks assigned by the supervisor while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintains regular attendance at work.

Schedule

  • Full-time positions, working days: 4:55 AM to 5:25 PM, 3-4 days per week on a rotating schedule (Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat; Week 2: Sun, Weds, Thurs).
  • Nights: 4:55 PM to 5:25 AM, Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday.

Qualifications

  • Two-year maintenance-related degree with 3 years of related experience, or High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience/training.
  • Advanced knowledge of how to operate a PC.
  • Demonstrated advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform math at an advanced level.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Skills

  • Technical Skills (Required):
    • Pneumatic: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair distribution and point-of-use systems.
    • Electrical: Troubleshoot motors, contactors, relays, circuit faults, lighting, solenoids, coils, switches, and sensors.
    • Mechanical: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair gears, cams, rollers, belts, chains, bearings, seals, levers, and power transmission equipment.
    • Plumbing: Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair all fluid piping systems.
    • Carpentry: Build, install, and repair wood or steel framing, walls, floors, ceilings, crates, and partitions.
    • Process Controls: Design, install, program, troubleshoot, and/or repair process control systems including electro-mechanical systems.
    • Drafting: Create, modify, and reverse engineer existing AutoCAD drawings/schematics or parts.
  • Technical Skills (Preferred): HVAC, Metalwork, and Hydraulic.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Work at heights above 10 feet and in extreme heat and cold.
  • Work with allergens, such as soy, milk, etc.
  • Perform math at an intermediate level (multiplication, division, fractions, etc.).
