Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing issues, and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks, including lubrication, adjustments, and replacements of parts and components on both equipment and facility systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment and system operations.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address maintenance needs and improve equipment and facility reliability.
- Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities and document repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide training and support to junior technicians and other team members as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, equipment performance, and facility conditions.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, and coordinate with the purchasing department to replenish stock as necessary.
- Perform general building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor repairs to ensure the facility is well-maintained and safe.
- Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements.
- Good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Able to adapt to project changes based on needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in multi-craft maintenance or facilities maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Welding experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment effectively.
- Visual acuity to inspect and troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
