Maintenance Technician

About the role

We support the maintenance and operation of building systems in client facilities. Responsibilities include repairing, maintaining, and improving material handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems. Essential duties also include installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. Other responsibilities include completing and documenting preventative maintenance routines, tracking and storing department inventory, and fostering positive working relationships with the client and operations maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
  • Solve electrical and mechanical issues related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.
  • Complete and properly document preventative maintenance routines.
  • Track and store department inventory.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year of related experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in mechanical or electrical field.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards.
  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • 2+ years' experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • 2+ years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • 2+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing MHE systems.

Pay

The minimum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $62, 899.20 annually [or $30.24 per hour], and the maximum salary is $69,888.00 annually [or $33.60 per hour].
