About the role

Camping World is seeking a Service Technician (Flat–Rate) for its growing team. Ideal candidates should have advanced diagnostic and repair skills for RV coach systems, generators, and coach body repairs. Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and knowledge in various maintenance and repair areas are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and repair or replacement services to customers
  • Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance maintenance
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
  • Keep supervisor apprised of work progress
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers

Requirements

  • For those without certification, Camping World will pay to certify individuals in relevant trade fields (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.)
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Possible exposure to environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness
  • Must furnish own hand/shop tools
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending
  • Exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment
  • Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, and wetness

Qualifications

  • Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but considered applicable work experience is also acceptable

Pay

  • Reasonable estimate of the current range: $22.00-$53.48 hourly
