Maintenance Technician

About the role

To perform activities associated with maintaining the equipment and plant to ensure that its operation meets the needs of the manufacturing processes.

Schedule

1st Shift - 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Hybrid - 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to plant operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair problems with plant machinery & equipment.
• Support implementation and installation of new and rebuilt equipment.
• Operate machinery, tools, gages, forklift equipment and booms.
• Electrical 480 v 3 phase, basic wiring of lights, presses and welders.
• Installation of plumbing, water, drain and air systems for presses, welders and building.
• Maintenance of building and grounds during all seasons.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus formal training leading to Journeyman status in Machine Repair and/or equivalent on‑the‑job experience.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Must successfully complete all courses and/or tests outlined in the Department Training Phases I & II.
• Work environment: regularly works on the plant floor.
• Physical demands: regularly use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, talk and hear; occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
