About the role
The Biogas Maintenance Technician at SD OpCo LLC is responsible for maintaining all anaerobic digester systems, conditioning skids, and upgrader compressors to ensure they are in like-new condition. The position involves performing skilled work on various pieces of equipment including pumps, motors, blowers, compressors, scrubbers, condensers, and chillers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine, preventative maintenance and repairs on all main and ancillary equipment relevant to the operation of the dairy digester and gas upgrader.
- Ensure all preventive maintenance requirements are captured in CMMS and can be scheduled on periodic schedules.
- Avoidance of E-maintenance work orders not being completed properly and on time.
- Assist with troubleshooting for both digester and upgrader equipment.
- Biogas Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the performance of maintenance PMs and routine maintenance of all assigned equipment.
- Generate repair work orders that address the deficiencies in the need of correction on field equipment and components.
- Align with Maintenance Planner to ensure sufficient critical spares and required consumables are maintained in the warehouse to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Relevant maintenance and operating experience in an industrial or gas processing environment is desired.
- Operational experience may be supplemented with military experience or training in a related field.
- Able to quickly respond to rapidly changing conditions.
- Able to read, write, and understand English is required. Spanish as a second language desired.
- Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Proficient use of hand tools and power tools.
- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
- Willingness to learn and have good communication skills.
- Fundamental proficiency in Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel) on a PC or tablet required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle in South Dakota is required.
