About the role
The Maintenance Technician assists the Maintenance Manager with executing the general operating maintenance and repair of the community and physical plant. They work to maintain proper operations of the community in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner.
Schedule
Full Time, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Respond to resident and family requests for maintenance assistance.
- Follow direction to make electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and structural repairs.
- Perform exterior tasks including irrigation, tree and vegetation maintenance, pool maintenance (if applicable), hardscape surfaces, and roofing.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different levels of technical or professional personnel, including outside contractors.
- Strong communication skills with residents and their families.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Commitment to caution and safe working practices.
