Maintenance Technician

Your Tasks

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems in a high volume production environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, interact with a computerized maintenance management system, and work closely with machine operators.
  • Perform interior building maintenance items and building surrounding aspects.
  • Operate within the confines of industry accepted standards such as ISO14001 and TS14969.
  • Ensure and maintain environmental goals and objectives.
  • Comply with safety regulations; maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Operate within the confines of industry accepted standards such as ISO14001, TS14969, and OSHA requirements.
  • Book all maintenance activities in SAP-PM, check out spare parts used, and report any spare part shortages to proper supervision.
  • Participate in the daily shift PFM level 1 meeting and address any maintenance issues.
  • Participate in shift handover meetings with team members to highlight any maintenance concerns for the shift.
  • Participate in continuous improvement workshops and submit at least 2 ideas per year in the plant idea suggestion system.
  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Other duties assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
  • Participate in Fire Safety.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Over 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with ISO 14001, TS 16949, and OSHA requirements desirable.

Qualifications

Highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
