Maintenance Technician
Overview
The Maintenance Technician position is ideal for a skilled professional who excels in problem-solving and enjoys working in a team environment. This role is available within The Village Residences, a diverse portfolio of residential properties offered by Brookfield Properties.
Skilled Requirements
- Repairs and cleans HVAC systems
- Replaces and installs plumbing fixtures and components
- Performs carpentry tasks such as repairing and installing doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
- Paints drywall/plaster repairs and performs painting tasks
- Assists with electrical/appliance repairs and installations
- Maintains machinery including chillers, belts, pumps, fans, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property
- A High School Diploma/GED is required, but 3-4 years of experience can offset this requirement
- Prior certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing are preferred
- Valid driver's license may be required based on property needs
- Self-motivated, team-player, strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and personal accountability skills are essential
- May be required to work weekends - Saturdays and Sundays
