About the Role
Brightwild is seeking a full-time Technician to perform general maintenance tasks, daily landscaping, and weekly pool services, supporting our team in creating a positive guest experience. This position primarily focuses on a specific group of properties in Key Haven.
Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance, including:
- Basic HVAC maintenance and filter cleaning
- Inspection of units for maintenance needs
- Testing and repairing lights, outlets, and minor caulking
- Basic troubleshooting of HVAC units, breakers, drains, and thermostats
- Minor plumbing and electrical work, cable/WiFi troubleshooting, toilet repairs, and basic appliance troubleshooting
- Repair and replacement of fixtures, door lock maintenance, drywall repairs, painting, trim work, and pressure washing
- Trash removal and cleaning external surfaces
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for repairs
- Correspond with GEMS/Maintenance Coordinator about unit readiness
- Use designated Property Management software to receive work orders and communicate digitally
- Maintain a schedule and bill hours accurately
- Communicate professionally and promptly with patrons, guests, clients, and owners
- Enter work orders and communicate with team members, departments, and service partners
- Assist guests with remote check-in and maintenance emergencies during evening hours and weekends as needed
- Follow work schedule reliably and interact positively with patrons, clients, vendors, and co-workers
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and a clean, orderly work area/vehicle
- Perform job according to standard operating procedures
- Report accidents, injuries, property damage, or loss promptly to supervisor
- Report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor
- Maintain open communication among all departments
- Inform management promptly of work-related problems or guest complaints
- Maintain professional relationships with property/marina departments, managers, staff, vendors, and community contacts
- Train and supervise other employees as directed by management
- Provide a safe work environment by following safety and security procedures
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
Requirements
- Experience in property maintenance, handyman work, landscaping, and pool service
- Reliable transportation and a smart device for communication
- Basic home maintenance toolset (specialty tools supplied by company)
- Ability to lift over 20 lbs, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and perform basic plumbing
- Woodworking skills for framing, deck and fence repairs, and cladding
- Basic computer skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Customer service skills for interactions with vacation rental guests
- Schedule flexibility with occasional after-hours calls

This is a full-time position with a set schedule, including occasional after-hours calls.
