Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines (e.g., Milacron, Arburg, Nissei, JSW, etc.) and auxiliary equipment such as dryers, chillers, thermolators, grinders, and robots.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical issues.
- Install, align, and maintain molds, screws, and barrels.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and work orders.
- Assist in mold changes, machine setups, and process support when needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment alarms, sensors, and safety devices.
- Work with production, tooling, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Support general plant maintenance, including facility systems, utilities, building upkeep, and infrastructure repairs as required.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Recommend and assist with equipment upgrades, improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant technical training or certification preferred. Experience with injection molding machines and related equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required for some locations.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
