Maintenance Technician

About the role

This Maintenance Technician position is based at Washington Square Apartments in Pulaski, VA. Beacon Management offers career development opportunities, paid training for certifications, and a robust benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine and preventative maintenance to maintain the physical integrity of the property.
• Handle service requests, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible.
• Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Perform floating duties as assigned.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by picking up grounds, removing snow and debris, working on landscaping, and addressing common area needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and locks.
• Current, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance—driving record must meet eligibility requirements.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to develop rapport with residents and community staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
