Maintenance Technician

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at Rollin Street Flats. This position involves addressing a variety of maintenance tasks and ensuring high standards of customer service and property upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance as directed.
• Carry out general carpentry tasks like wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, and window/glass repair.
• Conduct proactive preventative maintenance on siding, painting, lighting, sprinklers, pools, golf-carts, and elevators.
• Verify and complete all work orders in a timely manner to meet company and resident standards.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and amenities to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and fire/flood responses.
• Communicate promptly with maintenance leadership regarding maintenance issues.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, promoting safety and risk management.
• Foster positive relationships with residents and other properties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in property management or related fields.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to cope with challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and uniform compliance.
• Compliance with safety and risk management protocols.
• Completion of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
