Maintenance Technician

About the role

This role offers a flexible schedule with starting pay of $28 per hour or higher, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all machinery.
  • Properly document maintenance performed so that accurate records can be kept.
• Install logo plates and inserts as needed.
  • Follow tooling best practices.
• Help to identify leaks in tooling and repair as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform light construction tasks, such as building repairs, painting, general upkeeping as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain outside building maintenance as needed (shoveling, salting, etc.).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root cause.
  • Recognize and adhere to all best practices for safety (i.e., lock out/tag out, etc.).
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems at various voltages (120V, 277V, 240V, 480V).
  • Serve as an advanced technical resource in a given maintenance specialty (i.e. fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, controllers, etc.).
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Must be able to operate forklift within the safety guidelines established by AMP.
• Experience with maintenance/mechanical systems preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools.

Skills

• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
