About the role
ASSA ABLOY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Northwest Service Center in Kent, WA. This is an on-site role within the manufacturing facility, and the company is actively hiring due to growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all plant equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production
- Perform required maintenance and repair on machinery and equipment, including building structures
- Adjust and repair various systems such as clutches, brakes, lubricating systems, paint systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and pumps
- Install new equipment as needed, ensuring it meets safety guidelines and is production-ready
- Provide basic electrical work and troubleshoot PLC programming with RS logic control
- Read and understand mechanical concepts to solve problems
- Participate in safety and improvement projects
- Provide after-hours support and guidance to the maintenance and engineering teams
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
- Avoid non-compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Completion of a Technical School program and/or a certification of an Industrial Maintenance program preferred
- 3+ years previous industrial maintenance experience required
- Previous experience or working knowledge of CNC punching machines, lasers, forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programming with RS logic control
- Previous experience/exposure to reading schematics and drawings, specifically electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities
