Maintenance Technician
Aspire Indiana Health is a nonprofit provider of comprehensive “whole health” services including primary medical care, behavioral health, recovery services, and programs addressing social determinants of health such as housing and employment. Aspire operates health centers in five Central Indiana counties serving Hoosiers of all ages and walks of life.
About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of all Aspire buildings and grounds, performing tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, general carpentry repairs, and painting. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation (24/7) and may involve some local travel.
Responsibilities
- Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs
- Maintain buildings and grounds
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies as part of an on-call rotation (24/7)
- Operate hand and power tools (e.g., hammers, saws, drills, chainsaws)
- Drive large and small trucks with standard or automatic transmissions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in general maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry (highly preferred)
- Experience with residential and/or commercial systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Facilities experience in a mental health facility or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Ability to work from a ladder and lift at least 100 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that meets organizational guidelines
