About the role
Maintains and enhances the value of the community through various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepares or assists in preparing vacant apartments to a market-ready condition.
- Pulls resident work orders and completes them in a timely manner.
- Communicates to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager if a work order cannot be completed.
- Performs on-call emergency service as required.
- Reports maintenance concerns for repairs to vacant, models, clubhouse, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Moves heavy objects as requested.
- Assists in special maintenance projects, such as preventative maintenance of buildings and mechanicals.
- Keeps grounds and common areas free of trash and debris.
- Works closely with management and maintenance staff to represent the quality and professionalism of Arbour Valley Management.
- Maintains open communication with property management.
- Delivers various communications to residents as needed.
- Attends and assists in setting up for resident functions and activities.
- Drives motorized vehicles for Arbour Valley Management's business.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Successfully passes background screening and drug testing.
- Experienced in using normal hand tools for construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and up-to-date auto insurance.
- Able to work any day of the week as needed.
- Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Capable of performing medium to heavy work, including prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Good eye/hand coordination and color perception.
- Able to lift and work with heavy equipment and use a ladder.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and up-to-date auto insurance.
Skills
- Knowledge of normal hand tools used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, co-workers, and the general public.
- Proficiency in operating motorized vehicles for Arbour Valley Management's business.
