Key Responsibilities
- Work safely and comply with all company safety programs.
- Develop and carry out development improvement programs for equipment and machinery and processes.
- Responsible for accurate and timely repairs.
- Understand fully the processes behind each piece of equipment and be able to explain it to others.
- Form relationships with shop floor operators, AMETEK management, and peers alike. Work closely and communicate with production to manage machine up-time.
- Assist and support benchmarking activities related to a variety of functions within the industry.
- Have a customer focus in terms of technical support, quality, and on time delivery.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Technical training preferred.
- At least 18 years old.
- 3-5 years of related manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Willingness to work any shift.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrics, plumbing, and code books.
- Mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills.
- Capable of reading prints.
- General problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of relay logic, AC/DC motor drives, PLC and motor control circuits.
- Strong and effective communication skills.
