Maintenance Technician

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System such as AIMS/SAP to create and complete work orders, document corrective actions, and track labor and material costs.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to Amcor Safety Standards and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO, QMS, QSI).
• Use of required PPE and follow safe work practices in all tasks.
• Adhere to plant and department specific safety requirements including use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safe operating procedures, including compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and others to protect self and others.
• Report injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents immediately to Maintenance Team Lead or Maintenance Manager.

Operational Support

Respond promptly to equipment downtime and assist production teams in restoring operations. Maintain plant utility systems, including electrical, motors/drives, air systems, and resin handling.

Documentation & Communication

Accurate record maintenance activities and work orders in a timely manner. Communicate equipment issues and potential downtime to supervisors.

Housekeeping & Facility Care

Keep work areas clean and organized. Perform additional facility tasks such as snow removal when trained and authorized.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance processes. Stay current with technical knowledge and training requirements.
