Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician performs preventative and specialized maintenance of an automated laundry facility and its equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintenance policies. They collaborate with other plant personnel to enhance facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
- Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education.
- Additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Specific skills and competencies: electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (LOTO, hot work, confined space).
- Specialized knowledge and licenses: Boiler operator license (some states), wastewater certification (some states), computerized preventative maintenance systems.
- Valid driver's license and driving record free of safety violations.
