Maintenance Technician

AHL Healthcare Group, a 2025 Minnesota's Best Senior Care Services Customer Service Silver winner and Best Assisted Living Bronze winner, is seeking a dynamic and driven Property Maintenance Technician to service group homes in the Metro area.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties in a timely manner
• Perform repairs and installations of light fixtures, ceiling fans, plumbing fixtures, and household appliances
• Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and water systems, including purchasing and delivering water softener salt monthly to all metro properties
• Replace both interior and exterior doors and windows
• Repair flooring, including stretching carpet, full replacement, and repair of wood, vinyl, linoleum, stone, tile, and carpeting
• Maintain exterior of homes as needed
• Repair, replace, and build outdoor decks, stairs, and fences
• Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
• Manage and review maintenance requests, planning and prioritizing work
• Document property safety concerns and inspections

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Pass a MN DHS background study and MVR check
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, heating, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
• Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Ability to plan projects and make strong decisions
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and solving complex problems
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$26.00–$28.00 an hour depending on experience

Schedule

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a half-hour lunch break
• Some on-call for emergencies
