Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems, including conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing issues to ensure the smooth operation of the plant.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, including knowledge of electrical, automation, and hydraulics, are preferred but not required.
- Experience with conveyors, feeders, mills, and kilns.
- Skilled in metal fabrication, cutting, and welding.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, and around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
