About the role
Supports operations by maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment to minimize downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance. Uses advanced skill, knowledge, and equipment to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment as well as facility equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.
- Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including piping.
- Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.
- Perform advanced services, repairs, adjustment, and testing.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in the facility.
- Perform advanced machining, welding, and fabrication.
- Dismantle and reassemble machines and machine parts.
- Perform construction and plumbing techniques.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Perform advanced fabrication repairs on metal.
- Understand and demonstrate proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Use fork truck, scissor lifts, and other powered equipment.
- Read and understand machine blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Apply rigging techniques and identify equipment.
- Identify lubrication systems and differences.
- Collect and transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other materials; communicate with or assist teammates to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
- Perform welding and fabrication, install mechanical utilities, piping, and rebuild pumps and cylinders.
- Perform changes on machines and equipment.
- Install, modify, and repair auxiliary equipment.
- Document completed repairs using CMMS system.
- Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Ability to interpret metric and standard dimensions.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and competency to be certified on mobile equipment (e.g., scissor lift, stand-up, sit-down, and boom lifts).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Stand, bend, twist, and climb for 8+ hours.
- Flexible to work any shift, including overtime as needed.
