About the role

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) is a Fortune 500 manufacturer with over 15,000 employees across the U.S. seeking to hire a Multicraft Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment quickly and safely
• Performing preventive and predictive maintenance
• Working closely with production and other maintenance team members
• Continuously expanding technical skills through paid training and advancement programs

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multi-craft skills
• Ability to work assigned shift (2nd or 3rd)
• Must be able to work extended hours and occasional weekends

Preferred (not required)

• Technical degree or certification (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, etc.)
• Experience in corrugated packaging, printing, converting, or manufacturing

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Competitive hourly pay: $29.24 – $41.30 + shift differential
• 1.5x pay over 8 hours and over 40 hours/week

Pay, Overtime & Benefits

• Starting salary for position: $29.24 – $41.30 per hour + shift differential
• Bonus: Annual – Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics
• Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year
