About the role
The Service Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and operational excellence of the properties managed by Avanti Residential. This position requires a blend of technical skills and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare units for move-ins with necessary repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
- Complete work orders within 24 hours and report any emergency work orders promptly.
- Handle 24-hour emergency maintenance and on-call responsibilities.
- Perform grounds maintenance tasks such as picking up trash, sweeping, and replacing mulch and sprinkler heads.
- Manage snow removal or hurricane preparation and cleanup as required.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills and maintain clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- At least one year of relevant experience is required.
- OSHA, EPA, and CPO licenses/certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment is beneficial.
- Criminal background screening must be passed prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance are required.
- Completion of the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required for some positions.
Qualifications

Pay
Premium pay is available for required duties performed outside regular operating hours based on business needs and after-hours coverage.
Schedule
Monday through Friday schedule is standard.
