Maintenance Technician - Arte Grand Central

About the role

Responsibilities

• Prepare units for move‑ins with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting repairs.
• Maintain awareness of property condition and take immediate steps to correct unsafe conditions, reporting safety concerns to the Service Manager and/or Community Manager.
• Complete work orders within 24 hours as directed by the Community Manager and/or Service Manager; report emergency work orders promptly.
• Handle 24‑hour emergency maintenance and on‑call responsibilities.
• Perform grounds pick‑up, sweeping, and light landscaping (mulch, sprinkler head replacement) as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred.
• CAMT certification preferred but not required.
• CPO certification preferred where applicable per local regulations and property‑specific needs.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of facilities management and mechanical equipment.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license and up‑to‑date vehicle insurance required.
• If minimum qualifications are met, candidates will receive the Wonderlic pre‑employment assessment via email.
