About the role

The FPM EDU Co-Op / Dual Student Program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals at Freudenberg Performance Materials. As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you'll apply what you learn in the classroom to real equipment, processes, and projects, building skills that employers value and gaining insight into a global manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Combine hands-on experience at Freudenberg Performance Materials with classroom learning to build real-world maintenance and technical skills.
• Work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical knowledge in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Apply what you learn in your studies directly to meaningful projects that support manufacturing operations.
• Develop valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork, safety, and modern industrial technologies.
• Explore a career path with opportunities for growth, innovation, and long-term professional development.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a related technical field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance systems.
• Experience or training with PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and industrial control systems (such as Foxboro I/A) preferred.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, including a multimeter, to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives and basic temperature and pressure control systems.

Pay

This is a temporary apprenticeship assignment with a defined duration. Participants are tracked separately from regular employee headcount.
