Maintenance Technician - Alante at The Islands
About the role
The Maintenance Technician at CWS is responsible for enhancing community integrity while providing exceptional customer service. This role ensures smooth operations and adherence to safety standards, requiring significant interaction with customers, residents, and guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare make-ready apartments
- Complete service requests
- Perform common area maintenance
- Maintain inventory and shop organization
- Participate in preventative maintenance program
- Participate in resident satisfaction programs
- Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members
- Participate in CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or related field (preferred)
- Applicable certifications including EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO (required)
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance (required)
- Own basic set of hand tools (required)
- Basic computer skills
- Able to adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergencies (as required)
- Able to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practices
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere
- Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than “home” property
- Able to travel within major metropolitan areas and attend company functions in other cities (as required)
- Able to respond to emergency calls outside of normal business hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade requiring basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC (preferred)
- Applicable certifications including EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO (required)
- Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance (required)
- Own basic set of hand tools (required)
