About the role
Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of modern automated process systems and support equipment on the Deforest, WI campus.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Conduct forklift maintenance.
- Communicate with operators and management team.
- Ensure day-to-day productivity and operational efficiencies are achieved.
- Perform emergency maintenance as required.
- Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs.
- Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Automation experience and/or training is a plus.
- Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and supporting control devices.
- Strong industrial electronic and mechanical background.
- Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
- Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects/tasks.
- Ability to support and meet department deadlines.
- Possess good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals.
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus.
Physical requirements
- Stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift.
- Bend, reach, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently.
- Lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.
Schedule
Wednesday – Saturday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
