Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

About the role

Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of modern automated process systems and support equipment on the Deforest, WI campus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Conduct forklift maintenance.
• Communicate with operators and management team.
• Ensure day-to-day productivity and operational efficiencies are achieved.
• Perform emergency maintenance as required.
• Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs.
• Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Automation experience and/or training is a plus.
• Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and supporting control devices.
• Strong industrial electronic and mechanical background.
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Accurate and detail-oriented.
• Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects/tasks.
• Ability to support and meet department deadlines.
• Possess good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals.
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures is a plus.

Physical requirements

• Stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift.
• Bend, reach, twist, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently.
• Lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Schedule

Wednesday – Saturday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
