Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repair of machines and facility to ensure production needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Install and dismantle equipment
- Change out weld power supplies
- Exchange bevellers for service
- Change flux handling equipment
- Swap trunnions for repair
- Change out VFD/transformers
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment (mobile and stationary)
- Do basic repairs on equipment
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, changing light bulbs and filters)
- Record downtime, repair, and PM time in FIIX
- Removing items from inventory in FIIX
- Complete assigned tasks with minimal assistance
- Independent and efficient operation of most yard equipment for repairs and safe transportation of equipment
- Perform daily inspection of rigging and mobile equipment
- Perform proper rigging techniques with assistance
- Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives
