Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repair of machines and facility to ensure production needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Install and dismantle equipment
  • Change out weld power supplies
  • Exchange bevellers for service
  • Change flux handling equipment
  • Swap trunnions for repair
  • Change out VFD/transformers
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment (mobile and stationary)
  • Do basic repairs on equipment
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks (plumbing, changing light bulbs and filters)
  • Record downtime, repair, and PM time in FIIX
  • Removing items from inventory in FIIX
  • Complete assigned tasks with minimal assistance
  • Independent and efficient operation of most yard equipment for repairs and safe transportation of equipment
  • Perform daily inspection of rigging and mobile equipment
  • Perform proper rigging techniques with assistance
  • Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives
