Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, maintain, and rebuild roll form machinery, tooling, and ancillary equipment throughout the plant.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the machine and equipment can produce quality parts safely and efficiently.
  • Read blueprints and accurately set and pin rolls to CAD data provided.
  • Layout rolls for grinding to grind to within specified tolerances accurately.
  • Aid with design changes for all roll-forming machines and ancillary equipment.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned, including projects or assignments to support the plant.

Working Conditions

  • The position frequently involves exposure to a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment where ambient air temperature can occasionally exceed outside air temperature.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and knees, walk, and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl under or over, and frequently climb (stairs).
  • Must be capable of working in confined spaces and off the ground with height variances.
  • Must be flexible and able to change schedule and hours of work to meet the needs of the organization.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with completion of trade school, a journeyman's program, or formal training as a Maintenance Technician.
  • At least two years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • Hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics experience in a roll forming or metal stamping manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Understanding mechanical, air, hydraulic, and other systems, working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Knowledgeable and hands-on experience in working with basic electric 110/220/480 volt.
  • Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to self-motivate, problem-solve, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
