Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

About the role

We are currently recruiting for a motivated and passionate Maintenance Technician to install and maintain machinery and equipment in industrial establishments.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of machines and tools
• Liv[e] and promote the Ariens Core Values and 15 Principles
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Dismantle[s] machines
• Moves machinery and equipment
• Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails
• Aligns machines and equipment
• Assembles machines, and bolds, welds and rivets or otherwise fastens them to structures
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment
• Completes preventative and total productive maintenance

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Minimum two years industry experience and/or training
• Strong language, mathematical, reasoning and computer skills needed
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

The Work Environment

• Frequent walking, sitting, and using hands to handle or feel
• Frequent lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment
