Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shifts

About the Role

Join the Plant Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician supporting the manufacturing operation in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. In this role you will install, troubleshoot, service and repair both electrical and mechanical plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all safety procedures.
• Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders and other production equipment.
• Perform equipment PMs and complete work order documentation using CMMS software.
• Assist in training entry level team members.
• Able to carry out assignments with minimum supervision.
• Use electrical test equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC motors and motor drives.
• Understand PLC operations, troubleshooting and ladder logic diagrams.
• Read and interpret documentation such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.
• Operate a forklift, scissor lift and boom lift.
• Operate maintenance shop equipment and hand tools.
• Plan and organize individual work.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout plant and shop.
• This requires occasional operation of company vehicle/truck, valid driver’s license required.
• Other duties and related responsibilities as required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondences.
• Ability to speak effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly to others.

Pay

Starting at $23.75 - $40.85 per hour depending upon experience.
