The Maintenance Technician will be placed at our luxurious property located in Hackettstown, NJ, and is responsible for common area and apartment repairs, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and appliances.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently complete all daily work orders within 24 hours; communicate any delays to the supervisor and management office.
- Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
- Work with leasing staff to ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule.
- Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
- Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests, and apartment make-ready status.
- Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
- Assist with trash removal and maintain trash rooms and dumpster areas.
- Assist in snow removal during snow events.
- Coordinate proper workshop inventory with the maintenance supervisor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of direct experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related field.
- Reliable transportation and ability to respond to on-call emergencies.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal.
- Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
- Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor with a "customer first" attitude.
- Proactive self-starter and team-player.
- Availability for weekend inspections and weekday evening resident meetings, as necessary.
- Ability to professionally communicate with residents and staff.
