This position will be placed at our luxurious property located in Hackettstown, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently complete all daily work orders within 24 hours.
  • Communicate any delays in completing a work order with the supervisor and management office.
  • Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry.
  • Work with leasing staff to ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed and on schedule.
  • Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests, and apartment make-ready status.
  • Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
  • Assist with trash removal, maintain trash rooms, and dumpster areas.
  • Assist in the proper clearing of snow during a snow event.
  • Coordinate proper workshop inventory with maintenance supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School or GED education.
  • 1-3 years of direct experience working as a Maintenance Technician or related field.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to on-call emergencies at the property.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance maintenance, and snow removal.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor with a customer-first attitude.
  • Proactive self-starter and a team-player.
  • Must be available for weekend inspections and weekday evening resident meetings, as necessary.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with residents and staff.
